Hi, I'm the one-woman whirlwind behind Jinxy Wishes - a small handmade business in Scotland, run on caffeine, creativity, and the supervision of five deeply unhelpful cats.

The name means exactly what it says. Bad luck happens - jinxes, spilled wax, a fragrance blend that just won't come together - but I'd rather turn that into something good. A wish granted instead of a curse landed. That's the whole philosophy here: take the mischief, make it beautiful.

It started the way most of these things do - a love of gorgeous scents and a refusal to settle for anything that didn't feel a little bit special. One batch of wax melts turned into two, two turned into twenty, and somewhere in there a hobby quietly became a business.

Everything is still handmade by me, in small batches, wax melts, room sprays, bath & body, and skincare, all made with the same care whether it's your first order or your fiftieth.

As for the namesake - meet Jinx. She contributes nothing to the business except moral support from a safe distance (legal requirements being what they are), the occasional moment of chaos, and an unshakeable belief that she runs this operation. She does not.
